I have been a fan of the Starz television series adaptation of the book series – Outlander by Diana Gabaldon – from the very first glimpse.
I feel like every person – from the show producer, to the actors, to the person who comes running with a paper clip or a cup of coffee – has put their heart and sole into making this production the best it can possibly be. For me, these trading cards really show this off!
They are absolutely beautiful and being able to see and touch a piece of fabric used to create the magnificent costumes on this show has been quite a privilege.
I decided to create this page because I wanted to be able to quickly reference the many different cards at a moments notice. Once I discovered the trading cards and decided to start collecting them I realized I kept wondering what this card or that card looked like.
I eventually attempted to find all of the photos and put them on Pinterest. (Finding photos on the internet and/or taking photos of my own cards proved to be quite difficult and the results were grainy and completely unsatisfying.)
George Nadeau, Manager of Product Development at Cryptozoic™ Entertainment, liked my idea and generously offered to help me with the missing photos.
With George’s help I managed to put all of the cards on Pinterest. For a time that was great, but then I realized it was a bit cumbersome so I began to look for a new way to visually organize.
Around the same time George started posting really cool tidbits on our Facebook Page. I began writing them down here and there and linking others to his previous posts when they popped up with questions he had already answered. (I was curious too and I found myself continually searching for his posts when I had a question or two.)
I finally decided that the best way to keep all of this information together and quickly accessible from my home computer, work computer, tablet or phone was to create a page specifically dedicated to the Outlander Trading Cards. So, that is why this page exists. I hope it help you as much as it’s helped me!
